Purpose Statement The job of Elementary Teachers Aide was established for the purpose/s of assisting assigned teaching personnel in the supervision and instruction of students, and performing classroom clerical tasks in support of the instructional process.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Assists students, individually or in groups, with lesson assignments for the purpose of presenting and/or reinforcing learning concepts.
- Guides students in independent study (e.g. enrichment work, remedial work, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring student success.
- Implements, under the supervision of assigned teacher, instructional programs and lesson plans for the purpose of assisting the teacher in improving students' academic success through a defined course of study.
- Monitors individual students, classroom, library, playground activities, etc. for the purpose of ensuring a safe and positive learning environment.
- Performs record keeping and clerical functions (e.g. scheduling, copying, etc.) for the purpose of supporting the teacher and/or administrator in providing records/materials.
Other Functions:
- Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.

The job of Playground Aide was established for the purpose/s of providing for the safety and welfare of students during non¬classroom activities; minimizing the frequency or severity of harmful incidents; and communicating observations and/or incidents that may impact a general well being of students and school personnel. Essential Functions • Facilitates games among students (e.g. hands out equipment, balls, etc.) for the purpose of providing age appropriate activities. • Intervenes in potential emergency situations for the purpose of minimizing disruptions of playground activities and/or injury to involved students. • Monitors students during assigned periods within a variety of school environments (e.g. rest rooms, playgrounds, cafeteria, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the safety and welfare of students. • Reports observations and incidents relating to specific students (e.g. accidents, fights, inappropriate social behavior, violations of rules, safety conditions, etc.) for the purpose of communicating information to appropriate instructional and/or administrative personnel. • Responds to emergency situations for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. Purpose Statement The job of Landtrust Aide was established for the purpose/s of assisting students in the computer lab, plan technology time, work on student keyboarding skills, give SAGE formative assessments, and other activities determined by school needs under the direction of the teacher.
Essential Functions: The LandTrust Aide will be responsible to track habitually truant students, manage in-school suspension, track remediation/review times and record associated data, manage and post calendar enrichment events, communicate with administration/department heads/faculty regarding student academic and attendance issues, parent outreach and follow-up, data collection, and generating a wide variety of data collection/organizational documents. We prefer someone with bilingual skills but not a requirement. Heavy emphasis on rapport building and communication skills, organizational and computer/technology expertise. • Assists other personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities.
(Physical Ed-PE Aide)
PURPOSE STATEMENT: The job of PE aide was established for the purpose/s of providing for the safety and welfare of students during activities. Essential Functions: Facilitates games among students (e.g. hands out equipment, balls, etc.) for the purpose of providing age appropriate activities.
